Assure Mapping Quality tracing buildings geometry

To obtain good results when mapping buildings, use the buildings tool in JOSM, with the «B» shortcut to trace rectangular polygons.

If using iD, make sure that you "square" your building everytime needed.

Unexperienced contributors

Unexperienced contributors should avoid dense urban areas where it is more difficult to distinguish individual buildings and trace correctly. Quality and communication among contributors are important to assure quality. Dont hesitate to come on discussion lists for help.

Imagery

Be carefull since Zoom-in detailed Bing Imagery (scale 10 meters in JOSM) is not aligned with the lower level imagery (more precise).
